Visionworks, Kids Eye Exam Recommendation

My kids and I visited Visionworks in Vernon Hills last summer, and the next Monday we have another appointment for regular eye checkup. As a mom of two school age kiddos, I satisfied their service and the glasses. The representatives were nice and kind, and quick to serve. The eye doctor was wonderful. When my youngest had to take the retina picture, she was hesitant and closed her eyes, but the doctor waited and took several pictures, so finally we succeed to take one proper picture to observe. I appreciated the doctor examined my girls conditions thoroghly and patiently.

Safety Rule  

We had to wear mask for the safty rule, but it helped us feel more assured. And I guess they accept walk in patients. 

 

Insurance 

We are in the Blue Cross Community Insurance, and the insurance covers kiddos' regular eye check-ups and free glasses and lenses if they need. We ordered two pairs of glasses because my kids have some nearsighted issues, and the insurance covered all the paymet for the glasses.

The retina picture was not covered by blue cross community insurance and we copayed 20 $ each, but I think it was worth paying.

 

School Exam Papers 

I told the representative that they need for school, and she made and gave them within a few minutes. 

 

It took a 7-10 days for the glasses to be ready. When they were ready, the staff gave us a text message to come. I trully recommend this Visionworks. It's wonderful place to eye exam and glasses.
