Melatonine 5mg review from Costco

by 달리다니! 2022. 8. 1.

As I got older, I have a hard time sleeping. I wish for deep, tight sleep but it's not easy. I saw some people who are suffering from insomnia, but taking sleeping drugs is scary.

In my thirties, I took some tryptophan to reduce my sleep struggles when I was in Korea. In Korea, tryptophan is legal, so I bought it online market. It is not a drug, but a kind of supplement pill for a certain kind of protein. And it helped me little bi with regular exercise.

After I came to the United States, there are tons of sleep tablets, and they are not drugs and also, and they are legal. (I am only saying this because as far as I know, melatonin is not avaible for drug store in Korea.)

I bought this melatonin 5mg, and it is from Natrol. I got this from the Costco, which is my favorite store. There are lots of kinds and contents, from 1mg gummies for children, to 3mg, 5mg, and 10mg from various medication companies. Since last year, my husband lost his life cycle balance and had hard time sleeping. So, he takes this melatonin with me, every night. We cut this 5 mg into two pieces, I guess for half a year.

At first, we took 5mg each, and I had some side effects of melatonin. Like oversleeping, wieard pimple, heavy feeling in head etc. To be honest, I am little too sensitive person according to my body, but my husband did not feel the side effect of melatonin, so it is not that big deal.

My advice for taking melatonin is to start small. It is good to begin just 1mg or 3mg. and you should take it at a regular time, like 9 pm at night every day. Melatonin is also useful when you travel abroad and suffer from jetlag. In that case, you just need to take melatonin for a week, and that's it. Natrol Melatonin dissolves fast without water and it is not addictive.

The price was (I think) about 10 $. No market beats the price of costco.

If you suffer from insomnia or have hard time adjusting the time gap, I recommend melatonin. And don't forget to exercise under the day light. Vitamin D is also helpful. Hope everybody has decent sleep.
